Many online websites offer “Name Change Preparation Services,” which include preparation of generic documents.  You are then left to file these documents, without knowing if they were properly prepared or whether you are following the correct procedure.  Their fees do not typically include the court fees or cost of “legal notice” publication.
 

I will personally handle the entire Name Change process from beginning to end.  You can be confident that your matter is being handled professionally by a knowledgeable attorney, not a paralegal or other unknown individual.
 
Typical Fees for a basic name change* total  $1,000. 
 
This includes the $750 legal fee plus $210 Court Fees and approx. $40 “legal notice” publication.
 

* Basic name change is an uncontested name change for an individual U.S. citizen with no criminal history.  We handle all name change applications but the fee may vary if you do not meet the above criterea.
