Jay started his legal career as a prosecutor at the Rockland County District Attorney's Office.  As a Senior Assistant District Attorney, he gained experience handling a wide array of criminal matters, from petty offenses to serious felonies.  He also supervised drug cases and was the Assistant DA assigned to the Rockland County Narcotics Task Force.

Jay left the RCDA to become a Special Agent with the FBI, where he was awarded the Fidelity Bravery Integrity award. He investigated White Collar Crime in the New York City office.
 
In 1999, Jay entered private practice as a solo practitioner.  He has over 11 years of experience handling many different areas of law.
